Unveiling the Battery Capacities of iPhone 15 Models: What to Expect

The battery capacities for the various models of the iPhone 15 have been unveiled in new reports. According to information published on the tech website MySmartPrice, this data was obtained from a database of a Chinese regulatory authority responsible for granting licenses to Apple prior to the launch of its new products.

As for the iPhone 15 models, the base model comes with a battery capacity of 3349 milliampere-hours (mAh), while the iPhone 15 Plus features a battery with a capacity of 4383 mAh. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, on the other hand, come with batteries ranging from 3274 to 4422 mAh respectively.

In comparison to previous iPhone releases, these reports indicate a slight increase in battery capacity, though it may not significantly improve battery life. Regarding the new A17 Pro processor, manufactured using 3-nanometer processing technology, it did not lead to the expected improvement in battery life.

It's worth noting that Apple typically does not disclose the battery capacity of iPhones, opting instead to mention the actual battery life during press events and on their official website. As for charging speed, it remains unchanged despite the use of a USB-C port, with the battery being able to reach up to 50% charge using a 20-watt charger.

Finally, Apple has begun accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 15 in many countries around the world, in preparation for its release on the upcoming Friday, September 22.
