Egypt to Disburse July 2025 Salaries with New Raises—Some Employees to Receive EGP 10,300

 

As July 2025 approaches, many Egyptian public sector employees are eagerly searching for salary disbursement dates and details about the new salary increases. The raises are set to take effect starting July 22, alongside the payment of July salaries.



The new salary increases will range from EGP 1,100 for lower-grade employees—raising the minimum wage from EGP 6,000 to EGP 7,100—up to EGP 1,600 for senior positions. These increases include various components such as bonuses and additional incentives aimed at improving living standards, reducing inflationary pressure, and maintaining wage equity in accordance with the Civil Service Law and the 2025/2026 state budget.


Minimum Wage Implementation

Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk confirmed that the minimum wage for public employees will increase to EGP 7,000 per month, effective July 2025. This move is a core element in the government’s public wage reform plan, benefiting millions of state workers.


Details of the 2025 Salary Increase Package

The government’s salary increase package includes:


A fixed increase of EGP 1,100 for the lowest job grades, An annual raise of 10% for employees under the Civil Service Law and 15% for those not covered, with a minimum of EGP 150.


A monthly incentive bonus ranging from EGP 600 to EGP 700 for all public sector workers, These measures aim to help employees cope with rising living costs.


New Salary Scale After July 2025 Raises

Following the implementation of the July 2025 salary increases, the salary for the Exceptional Grade has risen to EGP 13,800, up from 12,200. The High Grade or equivalent now earns EGP 11,800, compared to 10,200 previously. The General Manager grade or its equivalent has increased to EGP 10,300, up from 8,700.


For the First Grade or its equivalent, the salary is now EGP 9,800, instead of 8,200. The Second Grade has risen to EGP 8,500, compared to 7,200 before the raise. The Third Grade (Specialist) now earns EGP 8,000, up from 6,700. Meanwhile, the Fourth Grade salary has increased to EGP 7,300, compared to the previous 6,200.


Finally, employees in both the Fifth and Sixth Grades (Support Services) now receive EGP 7,100, up from a previous minimum of 6,000.



Salary Disbursement Dates – July 2025

According to the Ministry of Finance, July salaries will be disbursed between Sunday, July 22 and Friday, July 26, 2025. This schedule follows the standard payroll cycle adopted by all government entities.


Railway Workers Also See Raises

The Egyptian National Railways Authority announced a new raise for its engineers and staff. This step aligns with the authority’s five-pillar development strategy, which emphasizes upgrading human resources to enhance efficiency.


The Presidential Office approved an unprecedented raise:


EGP 3,000/month for engineers, EGP 2,000/month for other specialized staff.


This decision reflects the state’s commitment to supporting key technical personnel in critical sectors like transportation.


Comprehensive Railway Reform Plan


The railway authority’s five-pillar plan includes:

Modernizing locomotives and carriages, Upgrading infrastructure—tracks, crossings, and stations, Improving signaling systems, Renovating workshops to ensure safe operations, Developing human resources—including salary hikes and employee motivation programs


Performance Incentives and Holiday Bonuses

Employees working during public holidays are compensated with additional rest days instead of monetary pay. Outstanding performers receive special incentives, in line with a reward-and-discipline policy.


Additionally, railway employees receive a EGP 750 grant during five annual holidays, fully exempt from deductions—by direct order of Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport.


Train Drivers’ Safety Incentive Program

As part of its safety strategy, the Ministry of Transport has doubled the clean-kilometer bonus for train drivers who meet the following criteria: No accidents caused, Proper use of the ATC (Automatic Train Control) system, On-time arrival at stations, Maintaining cleanliness inside and outside locomotives


This policy aims to boost professionalism and align with new salary increases and an improved work environment.
