Samsung Unveils the Galaxy S Series with AI Technologies

Samsung Electronics unveiled its latest smartphones today, Thursday, from the "Galaxy S25" series, featuring more advanced artificial intelligence integrated into the device, with multimedia capabilities and personalized assistant functions.

Three versions of the "Galaxy S25" series were showcased, including the "Galaxy S25," "Galaxy S25 Plus," and "Galaxy S25 Ultra," during the "Unpacked" event at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, according to Qatar News Agency.

Roh Tae-Moon, President of Samsung's Mobile Division, explained that the new series focuses on integrating AI into the operating system to redefine how users interact with technology.

All three versions operate through the "Snapdragon 8 Elite" processor, a custom version co-developed by Qualcomm and Samsung. The company stated that it is the most powerful processor ever in the Galaxy S series, delivering up to 40% improved performance in display image quality and energy efficiency compared to the previous generation, along with 12 GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128 GB to 512 GB.

The battery capacity is 4000 mAh for the "Galaxy S25" version, with 25W fast charging support, while the "Galaxy S25 Plus" has a 4900 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Both phones support wireless charging with Qi technology at 15W.

The company revealed additional AI applications in the new series aimed at making the phone resemble a digital personal assistant, following the launch of the Samsung Galaxy AI features last year through the S24 series.

The AI features in the "Galaxy" devices, with multimedia capabilities, allow the devices to interpret text, speech, images, and videos, providing a more natural user experience.

The phone also offers enhanced natural language understanding, enabling users to locate specific photos, adjust font sizes, or perform other tasks using voice commands.

The new devices can perform tasks across multiple apps upon request. For example, a user can ask the phone to find the schedule of their favorite football team and add it to their calendar, and the device will perform these actions across multiple apps.

The "Galaxy S25" versions also include new tools developed through the partnership between Samsung and Google, featuring a dedicated side button to activate the "Gemini" assistant from Google, ensuring smooth interactions between Samsung and Google apps.

The new Samsung phones come with the "One UI 7" interface, offering advanced features to ensure long-term data security.

Samsung is offering a free six-month subscription to the "Gemini Advanced" premium plan with all new Galaxy S25 series phones, which includes 2 TB of cloud storage from Google.
