Two Obstacles for Paris Saint-Germain in Signing Mohamed Salah

The French newspaper "L'Équipe" has revealed the challenges Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) faces in attempting to sign Liverpool's star, Mohamed Salah.

The newspaper indicated that the Parisian club will encounter strong competition from Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal and Salah's current club, Liverpool, which is keen on extending his contract.

It added that PSG will not make a move to sign Salah in this January transfer window for two reasons. The first is that they are finalizing the deal for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Napoli star.

The second reason, according to the report, is that PSG prefers to sign Salah as a free agent after his contract with Liverpool expires on June 30.

Salah is currently in his eighth season with Liverpool, having joined the club in the summer of 2017 from Italian side AS Roma.
