After "Gradisar" Approaches Al Ahly, His Former Coach "Dropen" Reveals His Strengths

Slovenian coach Oscar Dropen, currently managing NS Mura in Slovenia, spoke about the qualities of his fellow countryman, Njegos Gradisar, a forward for Hungarian club MOL Fehérvár, who is close to transferring to Egypt's Al Ahly during the ongoing winter transfer window.

Dropen previously coached Gradisar at Slovenian club Rogaška, where the player participated in 53 matches, scoring 22 goals and providing 5 assists under his guidance.

In an exclusive interview with Cairo News, Dropen stated: "Gradisar possesses all the necessary qualities for success. Moving to a different continent, adapting to a new lifestyle, and playing style will be a big challenge for him, but in football, you never know where you’ll play. He is a man capable of adapting, as he showed in Hungary, and he can shine in Egypt as well."

He added: "He is an extremely athletic man, with excellent speed and great movement to avoid defenders and score goals well. He also has the ability to dribble against one player at a time."

He concluded: "His weaknesses? I don’t see any weaknesses because he has a strong desire to succeed. They brought him in because of his quality and his future prospects. The club should help him adapt as quickly as possible."

Gradisar, who is 22 years old, has played 36 matches for MOL Fehérvár across all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 4 assists.

It’s worth noting that the Slovenian player is under contract with Fehérvár until June 30, 2027.
