Aston Villa Star: Amorim is a Man "Not to Be Messed With"

Gabriel Agbonlahor, the former star of Aston Villa, described Ruben Amorim as a man "not to be messed with" in a warning to underperforming Manchester United players.

Amorim smashed a television in the Old Trafford locker room as he vented his frustration with the United team following their 1-3 loss to Brighton last Sunday.

Amorim also publicly expressed his frustration when he described his team as "the worst Manchester United team in history" during the post-match press conference.

However, Amorim later softened his harsh statement and insisted that the shocking remark was made due to the "immense tension" he felt, believing he had to address the players after the game—a situation he typically avoids.

Agbonlahor added in an interview with British website "talksport" that he was a big fan of the contrast in behavior between Amorim and his predecessor, Erik ten Hag.

Agbonlahor said: "Ten Hag was losing 0-5 and would come out and say, 'We were the better side at the start, we showed good strength, we were unlucky.'"

"At least Amorim is a coach who says what he thinks. I love that; that's what we want."
