After joining City... Omar Marmoush: "This is a day I will never forget"

English Premier League club Manchester City announced the signing of Egyptian international Omar Marmoush from German club Eintracht Frankfurt during the current winter transfer window. The contract runs until the summer of 2029, for a duration of 4 and a half years.

Omar Marmoush said on Manchester City's official website: "This is a day I will never forget. Signing for City, one of the best teams in the world, is an amazing feeling. I am happy, and my family is very proud. We are excited to be here in Manchester. I look forward to getting started, meeting the other players, and showing what I can do for the Manchester City fans."

Marmoush added: "With Pep and his coaching staff, players have everything they need to improve their performance. I can't deny that I also want to win trophies. Manchester City has been the most successful club in England for many years, and I want to become an important member of this winning team."

Marmoush is expected to play his first match with Manchester City against Chelsea next Saturday in round 23 of the Premier League.

Marmoush is City’s third signing of the winter transfer window, following the addition of Uzbek player Abdulkadir Khusanov from French club Lens and Brazilian defender Vitor Reis from Brazilian club Palmeiras.

The Egyptian international has shown strong performances with Eintracht Frankfurt this season, appearing in 26 matches across all competitions, scoring 20 goals in total, in addition to contributing 14 assists.
