Argentinian Diego Simeone, the coach of Atletico Madrid, admitted after yesterday's heavy defeat by three clean goals against the visiting Barcelona, to the superiority and strength of the Catalan team.
Atletico Madrid suffered a heavy defeat yesterday, Sunday, with three goals unanswered from Barcelona, at their home ground at the "Wanda Metropolitano" stadium, in the 29th round of the Spanish Football League.
Simeone said during the press conference held after the end of the match: "We were good and had the upper hand in the first half, and we had two chances for Carrasco and Morata, but we were not effective, then came Joao's goal, and the second goal took us out of the game."
He added: "We couldn't play a good match. We have to congratulate them because they were better than us. They were outstanding and stronger."
This defeat is the second in a row for Atletico and the eighth for them this season in La Liga, causing them to drop from fourth to fifth place after their points froze at 55.
