Benzema is on top of Real Madrid's absences against Espanyol in the Spanish League

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti announced the list called up to play the Espanyol match at the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium, which is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Saturday afternoon, in the 25th round of the Spanish League competition, the current season 2022-2023.

The Real Madrid list witnessed the absence of French star Karim Benzema, in addition to the duo David Alaba and Mendy.

The list of Real Madrid against Espanyol came as follows..

Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin and Luis Lopez.

Defense line: Carvajal, Militao, Vallejo, Nacho, Odriozola, Lucas Vazquez and Rudiger.

Midfield: Kroos, Modric, Camavinga, Valverde, Choameni and Ceballos.

Offensive line: Hazard, Asensio, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Alvaro.

Real Madrid comes first in the La Liga table with 53 points, behind leaders Barcelona with 62 points, while Espanyol comes in 13th place with 27 points.

And the Spanish newspaper "Marca" confirmed that the closest is the absence of Benzema from the Espanyol match in order to focus on readiness in the two matches with Liverpool in the Champions League, as well as Barcelona in the Spanish League.

Benzema suffers from a physical injury he suffered in the last Real Betis match at the “Pinto Villamarin” stadium, which ended in a goalless draw, but the most important thing for the Frenchman is to catch up with the Liverpool match, which will be held next Wednesday.

And Marca added, with the absence of Benzema, coach Carlo Ancelotti will push the attacking trio, Vinicius, Asensio, and then Rodrigo, the "outspoken striker," or rely on Real Madrid's new talent, Alvaro Rodriguez.
