A Second Emirati Aid Ship Arrives at Beirut Port


The second Emirati aid ship has arrived at Beirut Port, carrying 3,000 tons of various relief supplies as part of the national campaign "UAE With You, Lebanon." 



According to the Emirates News Agency, this initiative comes in implementation of the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and under the supervision of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, and Sheikh Diab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister of the Presidential Court for Development Affairs and Martyrs’ Families, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council.


The ship was received by Dr. Nasser Yassin, Head of Governmental Emergency Operations and Minister of Environment of the Republic of Lebanon, accompanied by Brigadier General Bassam Nabulsi, Head of the High Relief Commission. The Emirati aid included various food supplies, essentials for children and women, winter equipment, and shelter materials.


In this context, Sultan Mohamed Saeed Al Shamsi, Vice Chairman of the UAE International Aid Agency, reaffirmed the UAE’s ethical and international commitment to urgently assisting the Lebanese people affected by the current crisis.


He highlighted the enduring humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who emphasized helping those in need and standing by victims of wars, conflicts, disasters, and crises.


He also addressed the UAE’s immediate response to the Lebanese people since the onset of the current crisis, in line with the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, aimed at ensuring early recovery and alleviating the impact of the crisis on all affected individuals across different groups.


This has been achieved in coordination with Lebanese governmental entities and relevant international organizations. He noted the continued communal solidarity and institutional collaboration within the UAE to provide relief aid and meet the essential needs of those affected during such challenging times.
