Oppo Find X7 Phones to Introduce Revolutionary Feature

Chinese company Oppo plans to incorporate a groundbreaking feature into its flagship Oppo Find X7 phones. These devices will join the league of smartphones offering satellite communication support, following the footsteps of companies like Apple, Huawei, and Samsung.

According to GSMArena, the Oppo Find X7 series will boast satellite communication capabilities, as announced by Oppo on its Weibo page through several teaser images.

This feature is likely to leverage the BeiDou satellite messaging service, similar to the one utilized by Huawei's Mate 60. However, its availability may be limited to users in China.

It is also expected that the upcoming vivo X100 series from Chinese company Vivo will feature satellite communications, as will the Galaxy S24 series.

Last year, American company Apple introduced Satellite SOS capability to iPhone 14 users for the first time in the United States, Canada, and several European countries. The latest iPhones, iPhone 15, also incorporate this feature.

Satellite communication enables emergency services even in areas lacking cellular or Wi-Fi networks, such as remote regions, deserts, or areas affected by natural disasters leading to power and communication network failures.
