Ibrahim Hassan: Salah Requests Exclusion from Egypt National Team... We Won't Force Him


Ibrahim Hassan, the manager of the Egypt national team, has revealed that Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool FC, has requested not to be included in the "Pharaohs" squad preparing for the upcoming friendly tournament in the UAE, alongside Croatia, Tunisia, and New Zealand.



During a press conference on Sunday, Ibrahim Hassan stated: "We haven't ruled out Salah. He communicated this request officially to the Football Association, expressing his desire not to join the team at the moment due to his need for recovery from injury."


He added: "No player can be forced to join the national team."


The official account of the Egyptian Football Association announced on its Facebook page on Sunday that the squad includes 25 players: Mohamed Awad, Mohamed Abu Jabal, Al-Mahdi Soliman, Mustafa Shubair in goalkeeping, along with Mohamed Hani, Akram Tawfik, Mohamed Hamdi, Mohamed Shokry, Ahmed Hegazi, Rami Rabia, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, Marwan Attia, Hamdi Fathi, Imam Ashour, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Ahmed Nabil Kouka, Mahmoud Trezeguet, Mostafa Fathi, Hussein El-Shahat, Omar Marmoush, Mostafa Mohamed, Ahmed Atif, Mohamed Sharif, and Mohamed El-Shami.
