Internal Rifts in Real Madrid Due to Mbappé

Media reports on Tuesday unveiled a lack of consensus within Real Madrid regarding the potential acquisition of French striker Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to a report by "Cadena SER" radio, a division has emerged within the white club. Some are advocating for completely dismissing the idea of signing Mbappé, while others insist on securing the French forward in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The disagreements stem from the emergence of Jod Belligham, the development of Vinícius and Rodrigo, along with the expected arrival of Brazilian youngster Enderic in the coming summer. If Enderic and Mbappé were to arrive simultaneously, it would leave one of them with limited playing opportunities.

As a result, a faction opposes the arrival of the Paris Saint-Germain star, while another group sees Mbappé's addition as providing the team with enhanced attacking capabilities, arguing that great players always have a place at Real Madrid.

Mbappé's potential transfer would be highly costly despite his arrival being on a free transfer. Real Madrid would still have to pay a significant transfer bonus, and Mbappé doesn't seem willing to settle for a €10 million annual salary, unlike Englishman Belligham. The Frenchman could potentially earn around €35 million net salary, leading to potential conflicts in the locker room due to the substantial salary difference between Mbappé and the rest—a situation the opposing group strongly opposes.

On the other hand, those in favor of Mbappé's acquisition believe that his arrival would mean an increase in income. This has already been demonstrated with Belligham, who now sells the highest number of shirts in Europe.

The internal discord within Real Madrid raises questions about the club's direction and strategy in the upcoming transfer window. As the debate unfolds, it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will prioritize individual talent or focus on maintaining squad harmony and financial stability.
