The Russian Duma Urges World Parliaments to Halt the Humanitarian Catastrophe in the Middle East

The Russian Duma Council approved a draft plea on Thursday, appealing to the parliaments of the world and the United Nations to put an end to the bloodshed and escalation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to stop the humanitarian catastrophe in the Middle East.

The draft plea states that "the members of the Russian Duma Council are addressing the United Nations and the parliaments of the world, urging them to take all possible measures immediately to halt the bloodshed and the violence against civilians during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to put an end to the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the Middle East."

The statement further added that "the missile strike on the Al-Ahli Hospital on the 17th of October resulted in the tragic loss of hundreds of innocent civilians, including women and children. This incident bears witness to the magnitude of the unfolding tragedy."
