In a gesture of gratitude towards Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, commended the convening of the 2023 Cairo Peace Summit.

He emphasized that this summit occurs amidst unprecedented tragic developments affecting our Palestinian brethren, with consequences that pose a grave threat to the security and stability of the entire region and the world.

Al-Sabah, addressing leaders, dignitaries, and representatives of various international entities participating in the summit, which aims to address the latest developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and seek a resolution to the Palestinian issue, reiterated his commitment to the necessity of achieving a just peace for the Palestinians in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the Arab Initiative. He affirmed the steadfast position in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people.

He affirmed his country's rejection of Israeli practices aimed at displacing the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, a measure contrary to international laws. He added, "We condemn the collective punishment practiced by Israel, including the airstrikes on innocent civilians and essential services."

The 2023 Cairo Peace Summit commenced on Saturday, witnessing wide attendance from representatives of numerous countries and various international entities. This coincided with the commencement of aid trucks entering the Gaza Strip through the Egyptian Rafah Crossing.
