Arab Parliament Calls for Emergency Meeting to Discuss Israeli Occupation's Crimes Against the Palestinian People

The Arab Parliament has announced the convening of an emergency meeting on Thursday, October 19, 2023, in Cairo, for the Palestinian Committee affiliated with the Arab Parliament. The purpose of this meeting is to address the terrorist acts committed by the occupying force against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, following the targeting of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, which resulted in the loss of hundreds of innocent lives, as well as numerous injuries among Palestinian citizens in the region.

The Arab Parliament emphasized that this heinous crime constitutes both war crimes and crimes against humanity, fully established in their elements. Those responsible must not escape accountability. They further underscored their unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, who persistently defend their legitimate rights. Simultaneously, they denounced the shameful international silence towards these crimes and brutal policies.

Through official communications, the Arab Parliament calls upon the United Nations, the Security Council, regional parliaments, and regional and international parliamentary unions to take a decisive stance to halt the hemorrhaging of Palestinian blood. They also demand that major powers refrain from utilizing the right of veto and legitimizing the crimes of the occupying powers, who are waging a genocidal war against the Palestinian people by deliberately targeting innocent civilians.
