America's Support for Israel: Money, Arms, and Propaganda

The United States has long been accustomed to providing financial and military support to the Israeli occupation, backing it in international political events, a stance that persists amid the current crisis in the occupied territories.

US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, arrived in Israel on Thursday to offer support to the Israeli occupation, engage in political consultations with the Israeli side, and visit other countries in the region.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden appeared in several press conferences over the past few days, reaffirming his support for the Israeli occupation against Palestinian resistance. He criticized the Palestinian side, overlooking the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinian civilians on an hourly basis.

Furthermore, President Joe Biden warned Iran on Thursday against involvement in the war between "Israel" and Palestinian resistance, amid fears of a broader regional conflict.

During a meeting with leaders of the Jewish community in Washington, Biden stated, according to Yedioth Ahronoth, that he had deployed ships and military aircraft near Israel, emphasizing that this should be seen as a signal to Iran, which supports "Hamas" and "Hezbollah" in Lebanon.

President Joe Biden also emphasized his country's military support for Israel in light of the escalating situation with "Hamas," stating, "I have bolstered our military presence in the region to reinforce our deterrence."

Biden added, "The Defense Department has moved the strike group of the aircraft carrier (USS Gerald R. Ford) to the eastern Mediterranean and reinforced the presence of our fighter jets. We are prepared to deploy additional assets as needed." He warned any hostile parties against exploiting the situation in Israel.

President Biden further stated, "Our hearts may be broken, but our resolve is clear. I also spoke yesterday with the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom to discuss the latest developments with our European allies and coordinate our unified response."

Biden affirmed that the United States will ensure that Israel receives the tools it needs to defend itself against "Hamas," stating that the Congress's call for assistance in funding national security for "important American partners" is not related to party or politics.

In addition, Biden conducted multiple communications over the past few days with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the latest developments in Palestine.

On another note, the Israeli occupation army announced last Tuesday that the first plane carrying American ammunition landed in Israel, after the United States stated that it would send new supplies of air defenses, ammunition, and other security aids to its ally to combat the armed factions of the Palestinian Hamas movement.

A senior official in the U.S. Department of Defense, the Pentagon, earlier stated, "The U.S. military is accelerating the delivery of new supplies of air defenses, ammunition, and other security aids to Israel to assist it in responding to an unprecedented attack launched by Hamas earlier this week."

He added, "The planes have already taken off. We are increasing our support to Israel... We remain in constant contact with our counterparts in Israel to identify their most urgent requirements and then meet them," pointing out that "Washington is in talks with the defense industry to expedite pending Israeli orders and is reviewing U.S. military inventories to help fill the gaps for Israel."

The U.S. Department of Defense also announced that the American aircraft carrier "Gerald Ford" had arrived in the eastern Mediterranean.

This nuclear-powered aircraft carrier is accompanied by guided missile destroyers.

A Pentagon spokesperson stated, "The arrival of the aircraft carrier is part of a series of decisions made by (U.S. Defense Secretary) Lloyd Austin to enhance regional deterrence and send a clear message to any hostile actor considering taking escalatory actions that could exacerbate this conflict."
