Google Announces Rewards of Up to $1.5 Million for Discovering Vulnerabilities in Pixel Phones

In 2015, Google launched the Android Security Rewards (ASR) program, which aims to reward researchers who find and report security issues in the operating system. The program has now been expanded, with the introduction of the new Pixel Titan M Award, as announced through its official blog.

On this occasion, Google confirmed that it will pay $1 million to individuals who are able to hack their Pixel smartphones and find a bug or loophole in it.

Anyone who succeeds in executing a full chain of remote code execution and threatens the secure Titan M chip will receive a reward of $1 million. It is important to note that the Titan M chip is integrated into the Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 4 phones.

Likewise, the company has also announced a new category of bonuses, including data mining and screen lock bypass, which offers a series of bonuses up to $500,000. Google has also confirmed that it will offer a 50% bonus for exploits found in specific developer preview versions of Android, which generally start in March and run through August/September.

As a result, the largest bonus is now worth $1.5 million. It is worth noting that the Pixel Titan M Prize and other series of rewards are taking effect today.
